| Plant Products Staff Giving Back |
On Saturday November 30th, a team of employees from Plant Products volunteered their time to serve at The Southwestern Ontario Gleaners packaging foodstuffs to be distributed internationally to those in need.
Over the course of a Saturday, the group packaged over 55,000 servings of soup and learned about the Gleaners and their mission to provide free nutritious food to those in need. All of their soup and snack mixes are made from unmarketable local produce.
This past year, the Gleaners produced over 4 MILLION servings of food, and we were happy to help with just a small contribution towards that number.
Chris Stickles, President of Plant Products states “It was a great opportunity to spend time together outside of the office while making a contribution to the community. The Gleaners do a lot of good work and we were happy to able to help. We hope to make this an annual event.”
